Reefwear Wetsuits
Fashion Photography
A deep dive into commercial photography, I was commissioned by Watersports Warehouse to capture a range of high-quality images of wetsuits for their online shop.
Established in 1989, Watersports Warehouse is now one of the largest online retailers in the UK for watersports gear, selling everything from ear plugs and fins to the highest quality scuba equipment and stand-up paddleboards. As part of their range, they also sell an in-house wetsuit line called Reefwear.
The aim of this shoot was to create a suite of product images ready to launch on Watersports Warehouse’s e-commerce sites, including their main website and Shopify store. The goal was to create high-quality imagery consistent with their branding that accurately reflected the wetsuits and provided a useful visual reference for online shoppers.
PLANNING THE FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY
To begin the process, I liaised with Watersports Warehouse to define their brief and then created a mood board outlining each element. The wetsuits were to be worn by two models and showcased against a white backdrop. Multiple angles of each wetsuit were required (including front, side, and back), as well as close-up shots detailing the quality stitching, zips, and materials.
Accurate colour representation and style were key priorities, ensuring that any images used on the website offered the truest reflection of the product. At the same time, it was also important to create a laidback, comfortable atmosphere during the shoot so that the models (one of whom had been drafted in last-minute!) felt relaxed, and the final images felt accessible and engaging to customers.
DINING ROOM
The kitchen was adjoined by a dining area, a light-filled space that had been curated with a more minimalistic design in mind – again sympathetically contrasting traditional and contemporary styles. As well as the interior shots, this space also provided an opportunity for a new perspective with images taken externally through the room’s large bifold doors. These doors became a focal point and enabled me to capture the seamless flow between the external wood cladding and the wood furniture inside.
Moving into the living room, we focused on the simplistic, minimalistic feel that Lolita had carried from the dining room. The room’s styling leaned towards understated elegance, with walls adorned in neutral hues contrasted with pops of colour and patterns from soft furnishings. As this was a period property with lots of original features, I also had to make sure that I balanced the naturally low light within the cottage, and the lounge in particular, with a bright and airy perspective to enhance the feeling of cosiness and showcase Lolita’s design.
LIVING ROOM
Moving upstairs, I continued the shoot, capturing the carefully styled bathrooms and bedrooms of the property. Lolita’s attention to detail was evident in every corner and I worked to capture the story of the rooms, from the beautiful design aesthetics to the practical functionality of each space.

Concluding the shoot was the editing process, ready for the pictures to be returned to the client for review. The imagery was then featured in 3-double page spread in Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine, in December 2024 issue, giving a spotlight to Lolita’s work and her approach to the design.
Following this, then appeared in The English Home Magazine in February 2025 and a full page in Homes & Gardens Magazine in March 2025.
