I was recently commissioned the job of photographing two show homes on the Fir Hill Park luxury residential bungalow estate in Newquay.
Luxury Life Developments exclusively cater for residential bungalow living, and they were looking for me to photograph two available properties on Fir Hill Park to use in their sales portfolio.
They booked a half day shoot with me to photograph two bungalow plots, and to also capture street photography. I would photograph the residential area, showing the immediate local surroundings of the estate and impressive ground maintenance within this private community.
Being show homes, the two properties were already furnished and dressed to a high standard, so I didn’t need to spend any time styling rooms with additional props or lighting. The larger of the two properties was Plot 36. It had a great bath tub and a variety of gold finishes throughout the bungalow, as well as marbling in the kitchen and bathroom, and some unique light fittings and interior design features. Plot 15 was a smaller bungalow, naturally light, and an ideal downsizing retirement property.
The shoot began in the morning and by the time I had finished photographing the two bungalows the sun had nicely risen for me to move outside. It also helped that the bin men had since completed their morning rounds! While capturing the grounds of the estate, I focused on the beautiful greenery, well-kept lawns, gardens and gate security. I used a telephoto lens for better street angles that would avoid copious amounts of tarmac filling the shots. There is a natural sloping gradient on the roads which I used to my advantage to capture rooftop angles and treelines without the need for drones.
My completed gallery is one that showcases these two bungalow properties in beautiful sunny conditions in the heart of a private yet welcoming community estate. All the best to their future new owners!
